HADYAI EPIC RIDE 2018

There was an EPIC Ride organized by Bro Wadisham in 21st and 22nd Apr 2018, actual route was from Berseri – Wang Kelian – Wang Prachart – Khuan Don – Rathaphum - Hadyai, total distance was 128.8km and returned via Padang Besar for 76.5km distance.

A total of 230 riders were flag off at Homestay Tok Mek at Berseri around 7.45am and most of them accelerated up to 40kmh after flag off until very steep climbing at Wang Kelian hill stopped those slow riders and fast riders rode like a flat road, it seems like no hill to them.

Most of the riders re –assembled at Immigration post for passport clearance around 9.30am and depart to Asean Market for water refill before proceed ride. It was like a self support ride where the organiser only managed hotel and travelling bag for riders. Thanks to the bike Marshall and arrow provided at every junction. Without them, we could lost to some where.

Halfway, a lot of riders were not able to close the gap peloton and after lunch time saw them resting under the tree or even having a cold coconut drinks at stall along the road. We did 5 to 6 rest stop to refill water and electrolyte drinks to endure hot temperature at 40deg C and it was a though day for the remaining 30km approaching Hadyai where the road was rolling. Finished 128km in 7.21hrs and reached hotel approximately 4.30pm. Well done to organiser Bro Wadisham and looking forward to ride again next year.

Powerman, Did It Again Duathlon

Selepas 5 hari balik umrah, terus menyertai Powerman International Duathlon yg diadakan di Putrajaya pada 4hb Mar 2018. Kali ini bersama-sama dengan rakan GAT Azman dan sahabatnya Iejat.

Keputusan yang kurang memberansangkan, mengalami kekejangan semasa berkayuh dan hanya mampu berjalan sahaja semasa larian ke 2.

Larian pertama ada sedikit kemajuan, malangnya kayuhan dan larian ke dua ke laut. Insyallah akan mennyertai lagi pada tahun hadapan dan memperbaiki kelemahan.

Road Bike inclination

Bike frame was reserved for me since Dec 2016 and managed to complete bike assembly by early March 2017. Bike fitting was done at Orbit Cycle and 1st event was fellowship ride in Manjung, later in July rode in Perak Century Ride and recent ones was Duathlon 5km run- 30km cycle-5km, multi discipline event held in Bagan Serai, Perak. All were 1st time and results are below average, competing with seasoned riders and experienced riders. Keep it up training and hunting for new event to come.

Ride Bike in Medan Nov 2016

Came back to write down some materials after long break.

It was one of series Great Adventure Team trip to Medan in Nov 2016. Total of 9 persons with 2 newbies Ejat and Adi's wife Mdm Deviyana onboard. Total odometer was around 480km from city Medan to Lake Toba and return via Berastagi.

HARD LUCK AT OILMAN JAMBOREE, KERTIH

6th June 2015

It was more than 1 year I did not participate jamboree since jamboree Parit Yani in Johor.

Around 500 riders were flag off at 8am at Sek Menengah Kg Chabang, Kerteh. I rode on tarmac for 6-8 km before entering undulating offroad. I was disturbed by an official call which I have to answer it immediately by road side before first big climb offroad.

Later after the call, I did realize that I was among the rider left at the back. Continued pedalling and only few riders met inside the course until I fell at one of the drop at small river stream.

That’s all of it after 30min on the saddle with few minutes offroad, things were alright at the beginning and I believe I have lost focus on the trail and not fast enough to decide which trail I should follow. No barricade was installed at that place to indicate danger of drop when riders crossing the stream

I was rescued by marshall nearby and rode on his motorbike to nearest exit before took over by JPAM. Bro Bulat my fellow rider from H66 helped me brought back my bike to the starting place.

After further check up at Hospital Kemaman, I have suffered partial dislocation at index and ring fingers on the left hand. From the X tray, my index finger got small fracture. Got MC for 10 days and need rest for faster recovery. Thanks to Allah only minor injuries involved.
