OUTING CYCLING IN BANDUNG
I was tasked to get sponsors in kind for supplemental products and waive sport equipment charges from local flight operator Air Asia. Tickets were purchased in Sept last year by our project coordinator bro Adi Hariman
Everything goes fine at this point of time except Air Asia. It’s kind of hard to get them attained of our proposal but event will carry on as plan if fail to get sport equipment exemption from AirAsia. It’s actually a win-win situation we will promote cycling activity as an another new sports tourism for flight operator. This will encourage cycling enthusiasts in Malaysia to use Air Asia as a preferred carrier whenever they opted for overseas cycling outing.
Golf is something usual with those sport equipment charges when you boarded flight with golf set, I have once went to Medan for golf outing and paid a reasonable sum of amount via online booking with Air Asia but some of our colleague had to pay extra when they paid the sport equipment charges upon ticket check in. But always those sponsors will only support the event when there is return of investment (ROI) for their company, otherwise they will give nothing.
Ground arrangement is at our own expenses and getting sponsors will offset some of the cost.Insya Allah our objective for this outing “Kayuhan Muhibbah Malaysia Bandung 2013” will succeed.
Heartfelt thanks to Nestle Products sponsoring PowerBar products and merchandise
